What is the CCTA?
The CCTA is an industry organization made up of business owners, advocates, and cannabis professionals working together to build the foundation for a strong and sustainable cannabis tourism industry.
Cannabis tourism is an all-encompassing inclusion of travel, tourism, hospitality activities, and businesses focused on cannabis.
While recreational consumption of cannabis is the most opportune aspect of legal cannabis, as it relates to tourism, cannabis operations branch out into other sectors such as government relations, agriculture, medical, B2B and B2C tourism.
Benefits of Cannabis Tourism?
Cannabis tourism pairs well with existing businesses, complementing many different types of travel, and builds on already existing attractions (e.g. nature travel, wellness, arts & culture, festivals, agritourism facilities and more.)
It diversifies already existing tourism products and experiences in order to reach new, and untapped markets.
Cannabis tourism adds value, innovates, and energizes the cannabis commodity chain.
Additionally, it provides investment opportunities and contributes to national economic growth.
