Vice President of Sales

Job Description:

Based out of Calgary, our client is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of cannabis industry equipment and I’m looking to hire a Vice President of Sales. The company operates in Canada and the U.S. and the role currently oversees 1 sales rep and admin staff. The company is looking to make a huge growth in the near future and this role will be responsible for the development and growth of our Client’s business, domestically and internationally. This role will lead the overall business unit and be accountable for sales performance, marketing plan, budget, supplier relations, employee management, and reporting to the CEO.

Sales and Contract Negotiation:

  • Skillfully establish sales and purchase pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts with counterparties to ensure favorable terms.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Manage and cultivate an existing book of business, fostering equipment, packaging, and accessory relationships.
  • Actively engage with current clients to understand their needs and maintain strong relationships.

Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain distributor relationships with international equipment providers.
  • Coordinate shipping activities, pick-ups, and deliveries by liaising with buyers and sellers.

Business Development:

  • Proactively pursue new prospects in the cannabis industry.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for business growth.

Data Management:

  • Rigorously maintain trade and regulatory data records to ensure compliance.
  • Utilize the CRM to track and manage activities efficiently.

Managerial Roles:

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high- performance culture.
  • Oversee team activities, ensuring goals and targets are met. Professionalism and Pressure Handling:
  • Work under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Navigate challenging situations to achieve positive outcomes.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, and team management, preferably in the cannabis industry.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
  • Proficient in data management and CRM software.
