Territory Manager

Summary:

The Territory Manager will play a pivotal role in representing the company’s three flagship brands, taking charge of relationship-building initiatives both in-person and online, with direct reporting to the VP of Marketing & Sales. Acting as an invaluable extension of the team in the field, the TM will be responsible for managing and fostering positive relationships through various means, including educational efforts, brand-building activities, and regular in-store visits. In the online realm, the TM will be tasked with overseeing the provincial social media account(s) for the brands. This entails curating engaging content, promptly addressing retailer and budtender inquiries, and directly engaging with consumers to provide comprehensive responses to their questions and concerns. By actively participating in these online interactions, the TM will contribute to the continuous development and reinforcement of the company’s strong social media presence for all three brands, prioritizing honesty and transparency at all times. As the face of the company’s flagship brands in their designated territory, the TM’s role will be instrumental in nurturing and expanding the company’s market presence. By employing a combination of personal connections, digital communication, and brand advocacy, the TM will facilitate lasting partnerships with key stakeholders, solidify the brands’ reputation, and contribute to sustained growth and success.

Responsibilities Overview:

In-Person Community Outreach & Retailer Support:

  • Implement unique strategies to authentically engage with retailers, budtenders, and consumers to tell our story
  • Be responsible for clearly communicating a consistent and unique brand message for brands
  • Build strong relationships to understand and communicate retailers needs and wants
  • Lead educational product initiatives and in-store PK sessions
  • Participate in industry events as needed

Online:

  • Work closely with team to implement provincial social media strategy to build brand awareness, product education, and increase sales across all platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Discord, TikTok, Reddit, and LinkedIn
  • Lead virtual Product knowledge sessions
  • Manage customer service requests received via social media

Sales Activity:

  • Implement sales strategies for company and its brands to build brand/product awareness and distribution in British Columbia
  • Visit retails stores, ensure retailers and budtenders are supported with the appropriate educational collaterals
  • Build and maintain an efficient CRM tool

Must Have’s:

  • Vancouver based with existing strong relationships with GVA retailers
  • 2-3 years as a TM or similar, in the Cannabis industry
  • Reliable transportation for field visits, valid driver’s license
  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Passion for cannabis and a drive to build a strong community
  • Cannabis retail experience with deep knowledge of the day-to-day challenges and needs of retailers/budtenders

  • Good ability to adapt and show flexibility.
  • Experience in managing multiple demands with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to travel within BC, and occasionally other parts of Canada
