Seeking a Senior Accountant who is both highly technical and a proactive problem-solver. As the Company continues to scale, this individual will leverage data from multiple sources to take a pulse on the health of the business and ensure that our reporting is 100% accurate. Not only is it critical for the candidate to demonstrate utmost attention to detail, but they will also exercise a strategic mindset in identifying the drivers of business performance and presenting findings to the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

High-touch collaboration with leadership for monthly financial reporting, quarterly Board updates, and ad hoc investor requests
Dissect cost of goods sold on a by-SKU, by-market level to understand drivers of gross margin and materialization of operational improvements relative to target
Prepare financial statements for the EOY audit and flag any issues to address ahead of third-party engagement, with an eagerness to identify and lead solutions
Active participation in setting, tracking, and reviewing the systemwide budget, while providing strategic insights on progress and financial KPIs
Optimize processes for the monthly reporting close, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in CPG industry-focused work at a Big Four practice and / or an internal corporate role
CPA is an asset
Experience with using Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online, and other platforms for accounting, budgeting, and FP&A dashboards / visualization
Intellectual curiosity and determination to solve the challenging problems that come with being a fast-growing CPG company in an emerging sub-industry
3-4 years of experience corporate in house considered an asset
