Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cannabis retail store, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Manage inventory levels, restocking, and product displays to optimize sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Uphold a standard of exceptional customer service.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner.
  • Sales Management:
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to set and achieve sales targets.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Inventory and Product Management:
  • Oversee inventory levels and product ordering.
  • Conduct regular stock assessments and coordinate restocking efforts.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure strict adherence to local and state regulations governing cannabis retail.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and update store policies accordingly.
  • Training and Development:
  • Train and mentor retail staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance.
  • Facilitate ongoing training to keep staff informed about industry trends.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, and other administrative duties.
  • Maintain accurate records related to sales, inventory, and personnel.
  • Vendor Relations:
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with cannabis product vendors.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with suppliers.
  • Promotions and Marketing:
  • Support the implementation of marketing and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute campaigns and initiatives.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Experience in the New Jersey Cannabis and/or cannabis retail industry a plus
  • Previous retail management experience, preferably in the cannabis industry.
  • Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and industry trends.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of local and state regulations governing cannabis retail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
