Project Manager, New Product Launch

Summary:

White Ash Group is currently recruiting an experienced Project Manager, New Product Launch to join a fully licensed cannabis company.

The successful hire will report to the COO, work cross-functionally, and will be responsible for the product development process from product creation all the way to market launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market and product research for new product opportunities.
  • Provide project management for new products including:
    • Collecting, documenting, and submitting content required for provincial product attribute forms for new SKU creation.
  • Sourcing and evaluating packaging for new products and working with QA and other Analysts to ensure compliance with Health Canada and Provincial standards.
  • Establish and document timelines for product delivery.
  • Work with C.O.O, Cultivation, Edible, Vape, QA, and Packaging department managers to ensure delivery of the product is on schedule.
  • Work cross-functionally with various departments including operations, inventory, demand planning, and production (Example: Communicate when products can be offered to province when barcodes are ready, etc.
  • Constant correspondence between internal and external clients.
  • Assist with ordering new packing.
  • Liaison with various departments.
  • Keeps files updated – product launch and availability status reports, etc.
  • Develop and manage product launch plans:
    • Work with Marketing Agency, and create, produce, and distribute product launch marketing resources.
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of non-infused samples.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to plan, execute and track the performance of product launches.
  • Act as key contact for Provincial Wholesale cannabis boards.
  • Focus on AB, BC, ON.
  • Communicate with provinces for initial order quantities.
  • Development of product presentations for all provinces.
  • Completion and submission of provincial product call documentation.

Requirements:

  • Detailed and in-depth knowledge of Canadian Cannabis regulations and wholesale/retail market structures and landscape.
  • Understanding of production equipment and processes used to create cannabis products – cultivation, processing, blending, extraction, and packaging.
  • MS Excel and MS Office Suite ability.
  • JIRA or experience with other project management tracking tools.
  • Hold current Sell Safe and Qualified Cannabis Worker (QCW) license.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple departments to achieve a common goal on schedule and budget.
