We are hiring a Key Account Manager for Atlantic Canada for one of our licensed producer Cannabis clients.

As the Key Account Manager, you will have full accountability for delivering optimized retail solutions to our valued key account partners across Atlantic Canada. We are looking for a proven sales leader who’s inspired by the prospect of working for a global leader in the cannabis industry yet also demonstrates the agility to be successful in a rapidly growing market. As a Key Account Manager, you will be part of a highly engaged, high performing, collaborative and fun sales team. Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage customer relationships with provincial boards and key retail customer to actively promote and grow the company portfolio.
  • Full commercial ownership of regional Key Accounts performance (Objectives and KPIs). This includes volume, distribution, and market share growth. The creation of customized sales solutions and the field level execution of all Atlantic Canada Key Account programs.
  • Track and measure key account performance by banner. Present sales results and trends to both internal and external stakeholders while identifying opportunities in execution.
  • Use market insights, customer and consumer feedback and an understanding of the competitive landscape to anticipate product preference and support company efforts in creating an effective innovation pipeline.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and partners to ensure best in class execution.
  • Manage retail listings and track progress of retail trade programs.
  • Lead all retail customer program calendars in partnership with marketing, trade and broker objectives.
  • Manage and submit regional product listings to provincial boards and category managers.
  • Work with internal stakeholders on product information, forecasting, costing, and pricing.
  • Annualized and quarterly planning and objective setting to ensure corporate objectives are achieved.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales leadership within a packaged goods, beverage alcohol, pharmaceutical or related industry in Atlantic Canada.
  • Experience in Key Account Management at a head office level.
  • Post-secondary degree in either Business Administration, Commerce, or other related fields.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Entrepreneurial in spirit while also leveraging the assets that come from being a part of a global company.
  • Additional experience in marketing or trade marketing would be considered an asset.
  • Superior communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation.
  • Strong time management and organization skills with significant attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability of leveraging customer, consumer, and category data to develop fact based selling stories.
  • The willingness to balance both office hours and in-market customer visits (up to 40% in field).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
