Cultivation Team Lead

Summary:

White Ash Group has been engaged by a fully licensed Cannabis cultivation company to recruit their next Cultivation Team Lead.

The Cultivation Team Lead will support a team of cultivation technicians and ensure that all work being performed is being done efficiently and compliant within the regulations and to the highest standard. The Cultivation Team Lead will report to the Operations Supervisor and is critical in making sure all production goals and standards are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Operations Supervisor in cultivation-related tasks (i.e. Irrigation, room turnovers, transplanting, pruning, plant training, IPM, etc.) 
  • Monitor crops throughout the grow cycle to ensure optimal plant health 
  • Ability to identify plant health diseases and pest
  • Help train staff on all internal SOP’s, procedures and work instructions as well as use of work instructions checklist 
  • Supervise cultivation staff’s activities and tasks, ensuring procedures and SOP’s are followed 
  • Collaborate with QA and compliance in developing and maintaining SOPs and Record 
  • Keeping Forms 
  • Work alongside QA and compliance 
  • Make sure all record keeping is up to date 
  • Coordinate with co-workers to ensure proper supplies levels are kept 
  • Coordinate with the facilities team to ensure all proper maintenance of irrigation and mechanical systems is up to date 
  • Ensure all batch records are up to date daily
  • Always displays a positive attitude and promotes teamwork 
  • Other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years working with plants in an indoor or outdoor horticultural setting is a plus 
  • GMP and GPP experience is an asset 
  • Willingness to adapt to necessities of an indoor horticultural application 
  • Willingness to learn plant diseases and pests as well as the symptoms of nutrient deficiency and toxicity 
  • Willingness to learn and comprehend indoor horticultural systems 
  • Must be able to sit, stand, reach, and lift for extended periods of time 
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds • Must be able to successfully complete background and reference checks 
  • Applicants must be eligible to legally work in Canada

Hours of Work:

  • 40 hours/week, some weekends (hours may change based on operational needs)
